Millbrae Man Takes Second at Prestigious Drag Race

Longtime racer Brian Leasure was clocked at over 132 mph on quarter-mile drag strip.

A Millbrae man took second place in a prestigious Memorial Day weekend drag race.

Brian Leasure was the runner up out of a field of 65 at the Summit Pro ET Class Drag Race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma on May 27.

Leasure clocked a .11-second reaction time (the time it takes to get off the starting line after the starting light turns green) and got down the quarter-mile drag strip in 10.074 seconds.

His red 1964 Chevy Nova was clocked at 132.02 mph.

Leasure finished behind local favorite Jessica Opperman of Napa, who's nicknamed "The Camaro Girl."
