VIDEO: Flash Mob Starts Last Day of School
Flash Mob Dance starts final school day at Green Hills.
On June 3, the 8:15 bell rang for the last time this school year. Students were in their lines by class. Principal Kristin Ugrin called up two fifth grade students to lead the Pledge . It seemed like a typical morning. Then......
Music came blaring over the speakers. The students started to dance to the "Cupid Shuffle" in a Flash Mob Dance! Students followed the steps they had been secretly practicing. Principal Ugrin and the teachers showed off their moves. Everyone was smiling. Cell phones were held high by parents trying to record the celebration. I hope some of those parents will read this and share what they recorded.
I am slow to warm up to new trends. ( I still listen to records and read books) But this flash mob stuff is pretty cool when you see it in person. Especially when you see how it pulls a group together. It creates a great energy. What a nice surprise to end the school year. Once again the Green Hills teachers, students and Principal Ugrin have been able to WOW me with their ability to embrace the joy of the moment and give the children warm memories of their school. Have a great summer !
