Walk to School This Wednesday

Wednesday is International Walk to School Day.

Swing on your backpack and strap on your tennis shoes. Wednesday is International Walk to School Day.

On Walk to School Day, Millbrae kids are encouraged to walk, bike or skateboard to class, instead of riding in cars or buses.

The walking event began in 1997, aimed at raising awareness for creating walkable communities and their importance. In 2000, Canada and the UK joined in, making Walk to School Day and international event. Today, more than 40 countries celebrate the occasion.
