Taylor Middle And Meadows Elementary Construction Update

On the first day back to school for Millbrae students, some school improvement projects are complete, and others are still in the works.

Two summer constructions projects under are finished in time for the first day of school for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Projects that began on June 9, including paving repairs and renovations to a daycare portable at Meadows Elementary School are complete, according to Kristen McLean of Blach Construction Company.

The demolition of the Taylor Middle School cafeteria was also completed this summer. Construction of the new building will begin this fall and is still expected to be complete next summer.

Measure N wa sa $30 million bond passed by Millbrae voters in Nov. 2011 that continued work that began with funding from Measure X, passed by voters in 2008.
