Nonprofit Close to Meeting Fundraising Goal for Millbrae Schools

Foundation is asking for public's help in meeting goal of $225,000.

The Millbrae Education Foundation, a local nonprofit that supports Millbrae schools, announced that it has raised over $155,000.

The recent fundraisers at Peet’s Coffee and Barnes and Noble raised about $5,500, and the foundation is now two-thirds of the way to reaching its goal of $225,000.

“It is critical that we reach our goal. Our state’s budget is still in crisis, and this will affect our schools,” MEF said in a letter.
