No Arguments Against School Bond Measure

Measure N needs a 55 percent voter approval.

No one is formally opposing the $30 million school bond measure that will renovate infrastructure, according to the San Mateo County Elections Office.

Measure N needs at least a 55 percent voter approval to pass, and then a bond would be issued to continue school renovations started under , which voters passed in 2008.

The bond would cost property owners no more than $25 per year for $100,000 in assessed value.

School district officials have argued that many classrooms still need renovations and the bond would allow for energy efficiency upgrades.

  • Modernize and renovate classrooms
  • Upgrade water, gas, sewer, electrical and communications safety systems.
  • Build a new cafeteria at Taylor Middle Schools

In September, the city council backed the $30 million bond measure.
