Mills Voted One of Best High Schools in the Country

Newsweek Magazine ranks Mills HIgh School as one of 500 best high schools in the US.

Newsweek magazine has ranked  244 out of the top 500 high schools in the country for 2011.

High schools are ranked on six components: graduation rates, college matriculation rate, AP tests taken per graduate, average SAT/ACT score, average AP/IB/AICE scores and AP courses offered.

A panel of experts comprised of Wendy Kopp of Teach For America, Tom Vander Ark of Open Education Solutions (formerly executive director for education at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), and Linda Darling-Hammond, Stanford professor of education and founder of the School Redesign Network, developed a methodology for calculating a school's success in preparing students for college and the work force.
