Millbrae Schools Show API Improvement

Numbers released this week show that the Millbrae School District is reaching its goals.

Almost all Millbrae schools improved their Academic Performance Index (API), a state-wide measurement of educational achievement, according to results released Wednesday by the California Department of Education.

Schools receive scores of 200 to 1000 based on results of state-wise testing. A good goal score is 800, a number surpassed by all Millbrae schools.

Four schools in the Millbrae School District achieved higher scores than in 2011, with the exception of Lomita Park Elementary, which dropped by 12 points.

Overall, the district improved from its 2011 score of 885 to a 2012 score of 900.
