Gardening Tips: Saving Rainwater Lecture

Learn how to minimize your landscape and garden watering by tapping into “new” water sources, such as graywater and rainwater harvesting. Learn the components necessary to install a simple laundry-to-landscape graywater irrigation project and the requirements for a rainwater harvesting system. Sample calculations and conversions will help you determine how much water you can collect and use for your garden. Using stored rainwater and graywater conserves water and energy, and may help to lower your water bills. Capturing rainwater also reduces water run-off of pollutants from entering our waterways.
