A discussion of the Millbrae School District’s fiscal future will be the featured event at tonight’s regularly scheduled public board meeting.

And it’s sure to come up again shortly afterwards when the board meets behind closed doors.

An informational discussion of the district’s budget development is listed as the main event in the 6:30 p.m. meeting at the Millbrae School District (555 Richmond Avenue).

Chief Business Official Wendy Richard will present information on the development of a projected budget through the 2014-2015 fiscal year. The presentation will include the impact of pending tax initiatives, whose failure would probably trigger budget cuts.

After the public meeting, the board will meet behind closed doors with labor negotiators representing the Millbrae Educational Association and California School Employees Associations at tonight's meeting for ongoing talks.
