DA files complaint against son of former Millbrae School District trustee for soliciting sex with minor on Facebook; charges dropped against "saggy pants" passenger.

Patch reported Monday that authorities arrested Michael Darro, son of a former Millbrae School District trustee, for allegedly soliciting sex from a nine-year-old girl through Facebook.

Darro, 19, used his father’s (John Darro) work computer to contact the nine-year-old girl, whose parents alerted Millbrae police, said San Mateo County District Attorney Stephen Wagstaffe.

Darro posted bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on one felony and two misdemeanors on Aug. 9.

The Millbrae School District Board of Trustees on Monday looked over the final details of putting a $30 million bond on the November ballot.

The board will vote on July 25 whether to put the bond before voters. If approved, the property tax would amount to $25 per year per $100,000 in assessed value.
