A new hotel in is in the beginning stages of planning and making its way through the city's governing boards.
The new hotel would stand four-stories tall—a height that was approved by the Wentzville Board of Adjustment at its Feb. 9 meeting—and be the first Generation 5 prototype of the hotel chain in the country, according to city documents.
The Generation 5 prototype is the company's attempt to appeal to modern travelers and includes new contemporary aesthetics to its traditoinal look.
Now, Wentzville only has a handful of hotels or motels, most of which are not located along Wentzille Parkway. The new hotel would undoubtedly bring more appeal for surrounding lots for restaurants or shops.
The lot is owned by THF Wentzville Four Development, LLC, which also just finalized a between and .
Fairfield Inn and Suites, according to its website, features accomodations for business and leisure travelers and has more than 650 locations nationwide.
Only two exist in the St. Louis-area. The closest is in St. Charles.
No timeline for completion of the hotel has been made available.
