Council to Interview Planning Commission Candidates

The City Council is looking to fill the seat of Wayne Lee, who won a seat on the council.

The City Council tonight is holding a special meeting to interview Planning Commission applicants looking to fill the seat of Wayne Lee,

Dating back to June, the city has received four applications.

Here is a summary of the candidates based on information from the applications.

Andrew Baksheeff: The five-year Millbrae resident has an engineering and general contracting background. "I felt that with my construction background that this would be (a) good fit for me to serve the community."

Rich Duran: This 16-year resident is a volunteer with Second Harvest Food Bank and has a Business Administration Bachelor's Degree from SF State.

Denis Fama: A 17-year resident, Fama is the fundraising chair for the Millbrae Community Youth Center Project and is a member of the Millbrae School District's Measure X Bond Oversight Committee.

Mary Ellen Pellegrini: Pellegrini is a 23-year resident and realtor who is a member of the Senior Advisory Committee. "With my knowledge as a Realtor, I feel I can help make important decisions on the Planning Commission."

The council meets tonight at 7 p.m.
