Police Blotter: Woman Steals Phones from Taylor Locker Room

May 6-9

Friday, May 6

12:20 p.m., 800 block of Taylor Boulevard: An unknown female suspect entered a girls’ locker room and stole seven cell phones from backpacks. The suspect was last seen running toward the recreation center from Taylor Middle School. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. Police contacted cell companies approximately 40 minutes after the incident and traced cell phones to the Oakland (Highway 880) area near Fruitvale.

15:32 p.m., El Camino Real and Murchison Drive: A motorist was contacted during a traffic stop. The driver used his brother’s information to identify himself. He also showed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He admitted that he used cocaine the previous night. He was arrested, cited and transported to First Chance North.

4:09 p.m., 200 block of Millwood Drive: Police contacted the grandparents and parents of several children. The grandfather stated that he did in fact drag his grandson by his backpack from his car to the house because the grandson slammed the grandfather's vehicle. The children had a sleepover at a friend's house. The parents and the grandparents were adamant that they never abuse their kids.

Saturday, May 7

4:09 a.m., Millbrae Avenue and Old Bayshore Highway: An intoxicated tourist was placed in a cab to get back to a San Francisco hotel.

 

Sunday, May 8

5 p.m., 100 block of El Camino Real: A subject came from Los Angeles to meet with a person who offered him a place to stay. They were supposed to meet and stay at the Travel Lodge, though no such info was verified and hotel management did not have a reservation for the subject or the person he was supposed to meet. He claimed to be broke and did not know how to contact person who offered him a place to stay. He asked to be taken back to the airport to figure out his next step.

 

Monday, May 9

3:12 p.m., 1300 block of El Camino Real: A restaurant was the victim of a “dine and dash.” an approximately 30-year-old woman fled without paying a $20 bill.
