Police Blotter: Racial Harassment and Home Burglaries

The following arrest information was supplied by the Millbrae Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Aug 12

11:54 a.m. Corte Alegre. A report was made to Millbrae Police that neighbors of a man and his family had once again harassed them due to their racial background. The male victim reported that this was not the first incident of these individuals yelling racial slurs at him and his elderly parents. 

1:09 p.m. 300 block of El Paseo. Unknown suspects gained entry to a residence in the area, ransacked the home and stole a small amount of cash.

2:41 p.m. 200 block of S. Ashton Avenue. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend, who now resides in Oregon, showed up at her home to claim a small dog that the two parties had once shared ownership of. The female victim said that the exchange had become physically abusive when the man allegedly pushed her by the chest and slapped her in the face. 

10:08 p.m. 500 block of El Camino Real. A woman was stopped on a routine traffic stop, and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The female subject then admitted to using methamphetamine the night prior. A probation search at the subject's home revealed a small amount of the drug. The woman was consequently booked into county jail.

Saturday, Aug 13

1:11 p.m. 500 block of El Camino Real . A complaint of an intoxicated subject was made to police. 

6:33 p.m. Corte Camellia. A woman reported he car had been vandalized by an unknown suspect. The vehicle's tires were slashed and door keyed. 

7:05 p.m. 600 block of Hemlock Avenue. An attempted burglary of a home in the area was reported. The home owner is on vacation, and the loss of property is unknown at this time. 

 

Sunday, Aug 14 

1:14 p.m. 600 Block of San Anselmo South, San Bruno. An 8-year-old boy flagged down a patrolling officer to report that his father had been smoking marijuana. After speaking to the father in question, police found no merit to the boy's claims. The boy was allegedly upset for getting a time-out earlier in the day for throwing food around. 

10:31 p.m. 500 block of El Camino Real. Two women were seen allegedly stealing several cartons of cigarettes from an unlocked glass case in Safeway. The license plate may have been identified.
