Police Blotter: False Identity, Attempted Car Theft, and Domestic Disturbances

The following information was supplied by the Millbrae Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, July 8

9:22 p.m., El Camino Real and Linden Avenue: During a traffic stop, a man gave his brother’s name instead of his own. Police transported the man to county jail for driving with a suspended license and impersonating his brother. The vehicle will be impounded for 30 days.

12:59 a.m., 100 block of Capuchino Drive: A resident heard unknown subjects start his vehicle. He looked outside his window and noticed his vehicle in middle of street. There were possibly three or four subjects. The subjects fled in red sedan, possibly a Toyota. A Sublime CD not belonging to the owner was found inside the vehicle and was collected as evidence.

9:38 a.m., California and Murchison drives: A suspect was contacted after he was seen ducking into the bushes by the Caltrain lot upon seeing a police car. He was found to be in possession of an open beer and a small amount of marijuana. Both items were disposed of. The man was unable to care for himself.

10:30 a.m., El Camino Real and Taylor Boulevard: PG&E responded after a seagull hit power lines.

Sunday, July 10

5:14 p.m., 400 block of Elder Avenue: After a domestic argument, a man claimed that his wife hit him with a pasta maker. His injuries were inconsistent with being struck by a blunt object. A report was taken and forwarded to district attorney’s office for review.

8:07 p.m., 900 block of El Camino Real: A woman was burning a small piece of paper, a bank receipt, so she would not be the victim of identity theft. She was advised to leave the area and she was cooperative.

Monday, July 11

10:10 a.m., 300 block of Broadway: A woman and a man are going through divorce proceedings. The husband obtained keys to her business, entered, and stole two boxes of financial documents in violation of their agreement. Police attempted to contact the husband and he hung the phone up. Once the wife provides police with the divorce agreement, criminal charges will be assessed.

4:11 p.m., 500 block of Magnolia Avenue: A woman reported that she was walking near Safeway when an unknown male subject approached her and told her that he was going to show her his penis. She ignored him and he walked away. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

Tuesday, July 12

5:50 a.m., 1100 block of El Camino Real: Police were on the lookout for a subject that was seen hanging around the El Rancho since 2 a.m. asking to speak to an employee.  Police were unable to locate the suspect. The employees said they would call back if the subject returned.

9:40am, 250 El Camino Real: Police contacted woman, who advised that someone had been following her and hypnotizing her on BART. She was confused and did not make too much sense, though she did not meet the criteria for psychiatric hold. Police sent her on her way.

3:53pm, 1000 block of Magnolia Avenue: Man reported to police that his ex-wife had violated court order by taking their kids on vacation without his knowledge. He suspected that his kids were currently on vacation with their grandparents without his knowledge. He refused to press charges and just wanted police to contact his ex-wife.

Wednesday, July 13

7:19am, 1 Rollins Road: Police responded to store disturbance at Millbrae Market & Gasoline. The manager said she asked a woman to leave after she was panhandling and refusing to leave the store. Police said she appears to have some mental health issues and was resistant to cooperate initially. Eventually, she became cooperative and left without incident. She was asked not to return. The manager declined to sign a trespass notification.
