Millbrae Weekend Planner: Aug. 16-18

Kids Helping Kids is holding at fund-raising multi-family garage sale starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at 205 Hazelwood Drive, South San Francisco. Items include household goods, furniture, exercise equipment, toys and more. Proceeds benefit sponsor families during the holidays.

 

STRUT YOUR MUTT

Enjoy a fun day in the sun with your family pet in the Peninsula Humane Society annual dog walk fundraiser Saturday, Aug. 17 at Coyote Point Park, 1701 Coyote Pint Drive, San Mateo. Registration and related festivities start at 9 a.m. with the walk starting at 11 a.m. Registration fee is $30 and participants are encouraged to ask for pledges from family and friends. Look for a wide selection of locally-grown fresh seasonal vegetables, eggs, baked goods and other foods at the South San Francisco Farmers Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Orange Memorial Park, on Orange Avenue at Tennis Drive. Admission is free.

 

THE FRESH MARKET

Get exercise and fresh air while shopping outdoors for locally-grown veggies, fruits, flowers and more from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 at The Fresh Market along Burlingame Avenue at Park Road, Burlingame. Admission is free.

 

CAMPBELL FARMERS MARKET

Stop on by for fresh produce from local growers and while you’re there check out offerings from local craft vendors from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 outdoors along Campbell Avenue in downtown Campbell. Admission is free. For details, call 408-745-7100.

 

SAN BRUNO FARMERS MARKET

VICTORIAN DAYS

The San Mateo County History Museum is hosting a Victorian Days at the Old Courthouse event from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 at 2200 Broadway St., Redwood City. CULTURAL ARTS PICNIC

South San Francisco Cultural Arts plans a fund-raising picnic 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Orange Memorial Park Picnic Center, on Orange Avenue at Memorial Drive. In addition to food booths and live entertainment, the event will include live and silent auctions, arts and crafts vendors. Tickets are $10 adults, $5 children 12 and younger.
