Millbrae Police Log: Two Women Fighting, a Car Towed and A shoplifter Caught

3:45 p.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Poplar Avenue where a car had been abandoned.  The deputies had the car towed away.

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

1:00 a.m.: Deputies were called to the 400 block of Anita where there a battery had been reported.  While investigating the alleged crime deputies classified both involved parties as both suspect and victim.  One suspect/victim claimed to have been pushed to the ground while the other claimed to have been scratched.  The suspect/victims are a 57-year-old Millbrae woman and a 62-year-old Millbrae woman.  The dispute that led to the pushing and scratching was of a landlord/tenant variety.  No arrests were made and the case has been sent to the San Mateo County District Attorney.

9:25 a.m.: A vehicle was burglarized in the vicinity of Hillcrest and I-280.  The vehicle is owned by a Belmont woman and had been ransacked though a list of items stolen is currently unavailable.

2:28 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Broadway where a business owner had caught someone shoplifting.  The shoplifter was cited and released.
