Millbrae Police Log: Las Vegas Meth Man Arrested, Cars Towed and License Plates Stolen

8:00 a.m.: Deputies had a car towed from the 500 block of Chadbourne Avenue.  The car had worn out its welcome by staying parked in the same spot for over 72 hours.

8:30 a.m.: Deputies stopped a suspect in the 600 block of Capuchino Drive who had a warrant out for his arrest.  Deputies cited the suspect and released him.

9:00 a.m.: 19-year-old Henry Herrera of San Bruno was arrested in the 100 block of Santa Maria Avenue.  Herrera had a $25,000 arrest warrant.

3:40 p.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the 1700 block of El Camino Real where they opened an investigation into the theft of some license plates.

9:28 p.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of El Camino Real where it was reported that a suspicious person had been spotted.  Upon arrival officers found 36-year-old Benjamin Blacksmith of Las Vegas.  It was discovered that Blacksmith was in possession of methamphetamine and under the influence of a controlled substance.  He was arrested.

11:15 a.m.: Deputies were called to the 1300 block of Broadway where a vehicle was reportedly blocking a driveway.  Upon arrival deputies agreed that the vehicle was blocking the driveway and they had it towed away.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
