CHP Plans a DUI Check Saturday Night
Motorists should assign a designated driver if they are planning to drink.
It's OK to party hard on a Saturday, but make sure you have your DD in place.
The Redwood City Area Office of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) announced late Thursday that it will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday, Aug. 24.
They have not disclosed the location of the checkpoint yet.
According to CHP, every year community members die or get injured on roadways by impaired drivers.
"We are asking the public to designate a driver if they happen to allow alcohol to be part of their evening," said CHP spokesman Arturo Montiel.
The checkpoint will be operated from approximately 8 p.m. to midnight.
