UPDATE: Truck Spills Gravel Near I-280 on Skyline, Road Re-Opened

The southbound lane of Skyline Boulevard was closed between Larkspur Drive and Riverton Drive, according to the county Office of Emergency Services.

Update 5:20 p.m. A gravel spill on Skyline Boulevard just east of Interstate 280 in Millbrae was cleaned up and the road was re-opened before 5 p.m. Friday, a San Mateo County sheriff's dispatcher said.

Deputies who were at the scene cleared the scene just after 4 p.m., the dispatcher said in a phone interview.

The southbound lane of Skyline Boulevard had been closed between Larkspur Drive and Riverton Drive, according to Joe Sheridan of the county Office of Emergency Services.

Posted 3:20 p.m. A truck spilled a load of gravel Friday afternoon on Skyline Boulevard just east of Interstate 280 in Millbrae and traffic was being diverted, a San Mateo County sheriff's dispatcher said.

The spill was reported at 1:33 p.m. and the road was expected to be re-opened by about 5 p.m., the dispatcher said in a phone interview.
