8:35 a.m., Laurel and Geraldine: An officer requested the ID of a suspect, who said he did not have any ID on him. The suspect then provided a false name to the officer. When the officer requested more information, the suspect turned around and quickly ran. The suspect cleared a short fence and headed northbound down steep ravine leading to backyards on Anita. Police lost sight of the suspect on Anita. Officers set up a perimeter with a nearby law enforcement agency, including K9 assistance. Police were unable to locate the suspect at that time, though he was found about 30 minutes later and taken into custody after a second foot pursuit. Police confirmed that the suspect had four warrants.
