Police Blotter: 9-year-old Caught Joy-Riding in SUV

Read Saturday through Monday's Police log.

Saturday, June 18

1:40 p.m., 1000 block of Hillcrest Boulevard and Poplar Avenue: Two pit bulls got out from a home on Hillcrest and chased two women who live on Taylor. The dogs also charged a neighbor and an officer arriving on scene. The dogs were eventually re-secured in the residence.

Sunday, June 19

12:14 p.m., 400 block of Richmond Drive: Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into a locked car and stole a victim's SFO uniform and entry badge with a photo of victim. The victim will notify work to have the entry badge deactivated. No suspects were seen or heard.

12:48 p.m., Murchison Drive: A subject was in custody for a theft that occurred on June 13. The suspect and a second suspect stole $900 worth of liquor, returned today to do it again, and were caught. The second suspect is still outstanding.

 

12:52 p.m., Kelly Lane: The teenage friend of a man’s son tried to enter the man’s property to talk the son into sneaking out of the house. Damage was done to fence and the man wants to file vandalism charges.

 

1:32 p.m., El Camino Real and Taylor Boulevard: Police received a report of a subject who appeared to be a 9-year-old boy driving a tan GMC Yukon westbound on Taylor.

 

1:55 p.m., 1100 block of El Camino Real: Per hotel management, a guest had been in his room for the last two days without coming out and he has been drinking heavily. He was originally distraught over flight problems at SFO and he was supposed to check out today, but he did not. He was found inside his room crying about his mother's death and had been drinking heavily. He was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

 

10:53 p.m., 900 block of Broadway: A man and a woman were involved in a verbal argument. The man ended up throwing a phone at the woman, striking her. The man has a history of domestic violence. He was transported to county jail.

 

Monday, June 20

12:35 p.m., 500 block of Ludeman Lane: A man and his girlfriend were locked behind a golf course gate when they "lost track of time" after being parked in a dark corner of the lot. They were sent on their way.
