1 More Dead After Lake Drive House Fire

The grandmother of the 2-year-old boy who was killed in Friday's fire has died from injuries she suffered in the accident, an acquaintance said.

One of the people injured in is now believed to be dead, San Bruno Patch has learned.

The Fire Department said a woman in her 50s or 60s was taken to a local hospital in critical condition after the two-alarm blaze ripped through the family's two-story home.

As of Monday, her identity still hadn't been released. But an acquaintance who is familiar with the family said the woman has been identified as Lila Prasad, one of the owners of the house.

That now makes two people who were killed by the fire. A 2-year-old boy, Aakash Prasad, Lila Prasad's grandson, was the other fatality.

Funeral services for both family members have been scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. at Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Drive, in Millbrae, according to the mortuary's website. Following the funeral, the burials will take place at Olivet Memorial Park, 1601 Memorial Blvd., in Colma.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary.

A 69-year-old man, who hasn't yet been identified, was also burned in the fire and was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. His status is not clear at this time.
