Loss of Parking Hurts Small Businesses

The following letter to the editor was submitted on behalf of a number of small businesses on Park Boulevard in Millbrae.

There are six small businesses on Park Boulevard.

We lost our eight hour parking and now we have to close our business and move our cars every hour on the hour.

Today the meter person came by three times. The fourth time he came by he gave me a ticket without marking my tire.

We have contacted the city numerous times and they have not helped us. 

I work until 8 p.m. and do not feel safe walking down the street when it's dark and hardly any street lights.

We uses to park in front of the houses on the street, but they now have placards, and we as business owners are not able to get them.

The parking situation is bad by the time we open our business at 10 a.m. The parking in the back lot is gone and so is the street parking.

We are asking for help!!
