Another Millbrae Business Closed Down

I'm disappointed to report here on Millbrae Patch that yet another business has shut down their doors.

With yet another Millbrae business closing down, I am reflecting on the reality of the situation in my hometown in the aftermath of the city council election - what is the plan guys? I've heard rhetoric of "working closer with the Millbrae Chamber of commerce" for quite a long time even before I was involved in the local political scene.

What does city council intend to do to foster success with local businesses?

Red Brick Pizza might not have been a home-run hitting business, but with every success our local leaders claim in bringing in business - how many have in turn shut down their doors?

City Council was patting themselves about getting Nothing Bundt Cakes to start opening up a store in our town, but really in this situation you've swapped one store for another.

I still urge the folks on city council to consider free business licenses and permits for new businesses. We need to fill up these empty storefronts and bring reasons for people to shop and eat in Millbrae.

I'm sad to say without some drastic action, I don't see the situation improving rapidly - but rather declining.

Can we stop the endless turnstile action with stores opening and closing?
