Craig and Lou look at the Human Trafficking Proposition 35

Craig and Lou go over the Human Trafficking initiative and reveal more flaws in the California system.

Proposition 35 should be a slam dunk.  Very few people... and no decent ones... would condone enslaving people for any reason, much less prostitution.  We take a look today at whther this will actually be a good idea.

As with all these videos, we are not endorsing any view, merely showing how we arrived at our decisions, which generally excludes any paid advertising or marketing efforts.  We look only at the measures themselves and who supports what side.

Craig, the Internet piece is there because that is how traffickers MARKET their inventory. Sexual trafficking is, in essence, sequential, unlimited rape for profit. One of the things I like about this proposition is that it takes the traffickers' ill-gotten gains, and uses them to provide services to the people (usually young girls) who have been trafficked. Another thing I like is that it decriminalizes the actions of the trafficked and defines them as victims who need to be helped rather than prostitutes to be prosecuted. Last I heard, Probation has identified 21 juvenile females who have been exploited in SM County. That's not a huge number, but 21 too many.
