Millbrae Man Takes Bigger Raiders Role

His Oakland Raiders colleagues crunch quarterbacks.

George Li crunches numbers.

And that's a valuable enough asset in today's metrics-oriented sports world. Important enough to get the Millbrae native a bigger role with the Silver and Black, according to Raiders.com.

Li, who was on the Raiders staff last season as a defensive assistant, will take on more advanced statistical analytics in his new role. He will be responsible for managing databases and developing research reports for coaches and management, the Raiders website reports.

Li graduated from UC Riverside with a degree in business administration in 2003. His experience includes five years as a lead researcher for the NFL Network and a year as an ESPN researcher.
