Work on Millbrae Caltrain Tracks Taking Place This Week

A look at Caltrain maintenance occurring through Dec. 21.

Construction

San Bruno Grade Separation Project

Day work will be done from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will install utility infrastructure, place concrete panels using a crane and pour concrete. Crews may use medium and heavy duty diesel vehicles to transport dirt and concrete.

Night work will occur from Sunday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec. 21, between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Crews will pour concrete, unload railroad ties and use a crane to place concrete panels.

The $147 million project will elevate the Caltrain tracks above three existing at-grade street crossings at San Bruno, San Mateo and Angus Avenues.  A new elevated Caltrain station between San Bruno and San Mateo Avenues will replace the station at Sylvan Avenue. Work on this project will not disrupt Caltrain service.

Oh nice. I really appreciate you illegally cutting down the trees across the street at 1521 California Dr. The noise is bad enough and now we have no trees to act as a buffer. But the lights coming directly into my bedroom just takes the cake. You are horrible people. I wish I could move, but your actions have devalued my home and I am unable to sell it. Will you ever replace these trees and restore the peace you took from us. As usual I await your response.- Karen and Brian Perry 1521 California Dr. Burlingame ubammy59@aol.com
