SFO-Bound Flight Delayed by Bomb Threat

United flight from Denver was scheduled to take off at 7 a.m.

A flight bound for San Francisco was delayed this morning because of a bomb threat received at Denver International Airport, an airport spokeswoman said.

United Airlines Flight 869, which had been scheduled to take off shortly after 7 a.m. PST and arrive at San Francisco International Airport around 10 a.m., was referenced in the threat, Denver airport spokeswoman Jenny Schiavone said.

No passengers were on the plane when the threat was made, and no evacuations were necessary, Schiavone said.

The passengers scheduled to board Flight 869 were moved to another plane that was set to depart around 9 a.m. and arrive in San Francisco at 11:19 a.m. No other flights at either airport were canceled or delayed because of the threat, Schiavone said.

"The airport is operating as normal," she said.
