Update: Previously Slated for Closure, Sawyer Camp Trail Will Remain Open
The trail was to be closed Wednesday and Thursday to prepare for the rainy season.
Due to high winds and rainy conditions, the Sawyer Camp Trail will remain open, according to a spokeswoman for the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System.
It was slated for closure on Wednesday and Thursday so work crews could prepare for the rainy season, and begin work on a new access road that will run parallel to the pipeline to enable repairs without driving on the Sawyer Camp Trail.
The work is part of the to the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System.
