Update: Hit and Run Driver in Davis Kills Millbrae Man

Police are investigating the incident.

Update: Jan. 23 4:15 p.m.

The vehicle that struck Debabov has been identified as a white passenger vehicle, compact to mid-size with a low front end, according to CHP Special Investigation Officer Ridge. The vehicle likely has excessive front end and roof damage.

Jan. 23 5:30 a.m. Vladimir Debabov, a 21-year-old Mills High School graduate, was struck and killed by a driver early Saturday morning while walking on Highway 113 near Davis, the Davis Enterprise reported.

CHP reported that Debabov was walking northbound on the highway when he was struck at about 3:50 a.m. on Saturday. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Debabov graduated from Mills in 2009, and was attending UC Berkeley. At Mills, he was on the track team and was part of the high school’s Interact Club, which promotes international understanding.

The Davis Enterprise is reporting that CHP has no information about the driver, who left the scene of the accident. It is unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the incident.
