Flights Delayed up to 30-minutes at SFO

Delays to last into the afternoon

Flights arriving at San Francisco International Airport this morning are behind schedule by up to 30 minutes, and the delays could last until early this afternoon, an airport duty manager said.

A "flow control" program went into effect for flights arriving from within 1,000 miles at 8:30 a.m., and is expected to continue through 1 p.m., the duty manager said.

The program was implemented because of a low cloud ceiling and could be canceled if skies clear up before 1 p.m.
