Millbrae doesn't have the same standards for airport/airplane noise as Hillsborough

When it comes to airport noise, the residents of Millbrae, get "bumped" from consideration, and merely get the shaft!

I cannot understand why the city of Millbrae doesn't have the same high standards for noise prevention against the assault of the airport/airplane noise, as does Hillsborough! Do we not count as much? Did you also know that the airport chopped down the trees they had, that served as a sound barrier? Instead, the airport, for limited time, paid for some insulation and double paned windows for a few of the poor souls who live near enough to the airport to have their glasses rattling off the shelves, and their nerves rattling under their skin! What a poor substitution for true quiet! Are they supposed to stay huddled inside at all times? Besides, the insulation and windows cannot possibly do much against the roaring sound of the jet engines revving up! I can hear it as if it is a block away, and I am in the hills! The airport has been taking on more planes than they can handle, and stay open 24 hours, so those affected by the sound never have a moment's peace. Human beings are affected by constant noise, and their health suffers, yet the offending assailants offer little relief between takeoffs and landings. SFO offers no compassion; they merely double down on the torture, so they can rake in more revenue! When did human life become so worthless? The very things that are supposed to make life easier for some, make life a living Hell for others. If we do not tell the airport to STOP NOW, they will keep encroaching upon us, and will make our city a worthless, ramshackle airport town!
