SFO Halloween Contest: Open to Travelers and Locals

Airport staff are using social media platforms to hand out prizes and drum up enthusiasm for SFO's non-stop flight services.

On Tuesday, SFO began a Halloween Twitter and Pinterest contest that will have winners taking home some serious headphones or a 2GB iPod Shuffle.

There are several ways to enter to win, including Tweeting a nonstop flight from SFO you would like to fly to, with the #SFOHalloween hashtag, or Tweeting a photo of yourself at the Trick or Tweet Station in SFO, if you are traveling through the airport.

Pinterest-inclined participants can enter to win by creating an SFO Halloween board and pinning 5 non-stop destinations from SFO.

The headphones availble for the contest's 2 first-place winners -- one each for the Twitter and Pinterest contests -- are Sol Republic Tracks On-Ear Headphones in red, which SFO has said are the same product that Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps uses.
