SFO Leads National List of 'Top U.S. Airports for Dining'

The airport ranked number 5 in a list released by the Travel Leaders Group Tuesday.

Airport food is infamous for being overly priced and lackluster – at best – in taste.

But there are exceptions, right?

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is one of those, according to a “Travel Trends Survey” released this week from the Travel Leader Group.

SFO was ranked fifth in the category “Top U.S. Airports for Dining,” based on responses from 526 travel agents around the country. Atlanta topped the list, with Minneapolis/St. Paul, Chicago ‘O Hare and Dallas Ft. Worth following.

What are your dining favorites at SFO, assuming you're not dashing to catch your flight?

Emporio Rulli is Milpitas Patch reader Barbara's top pick due to their sandwiches and cappuchinos. For San Bruno Patch reader David, the answer is Anchor Brewing Company for their craft beer. Other readers said via Facebook that the Bay Area-based Mexican restaurant Andale for their tasty burritos.

For a full list of restaurants available at the airport, visit their dining page.

Tell us in the comments if you have a favorite pre-flight dining destination, or think it's best just to skip food at the airport all together.
