Patio Filipino Offers Spanish Flavors, Affordably Priced
Discover a new restaurant this weekend.
You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:
PATIO FILIPINO—Locals love this restaurant, and at lunchtime, the place fills up quickly. One reason among many is the three-course lunch special for only $9.99. Patio Filipino, which serves up Spanish-Filipino fare (its specialty: paella), also does a brisk dinner business. Eat in the dining room or on the tiled patio. The kare-kare (oxtails in peanut sauce) and crispy pata (deep-fried pork shank) are popular. The menu denotes which dishes can beasily prepared without meat or seafood for vegetarians. Entrees range from $8 to $16.
