This year Millbrae kicked off the month of December with the city's 20th Annual Tree Lighting Celebration. Dozens of Millbrae residents and visitors flocked to with their families, friends, and pets to watch as the tree lighting ceremony.
Spectators enjoyed complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, cider and cookies as they listened to a special performance of holiday tunes by children's choir. As the children sang, they were joined on stage by members of Millbrae's city council and even Santa Claus.
Guests of the event were also encouraged to bring toys and coats for the Millbrae Fire Department's toy drive or the .
