Spend $50 and Get a UNIQLO Shirt to Celebrate Store Openings Around Bay Area

Stores opening in San Mateo, San Francisco, Santa Clara and the East Bay.

A new Japanese clothing retailer UNIQLO is opening several locations in the Bay Area, including at Hillsdale Shopping Center on Friday.

UNIQLO is opening four stores this month in the Northern California area:

  • Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, CA –(Oct. 11)
  • Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco, CA –(Oct. 18)
  • Westfield Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, CA –(Oct. 25)
  • Bay Street Emeryville in Emeryville, CA –(Nov. 1)

Various promotions will be available to shoppers, including an invitation for customers to try the brands lauded HEATTECH product - UNIQLO will gift a HEATTECH top to each shopper that spends more than $50. There is no limit to the offer and UNIQLO anticipates giving away in excess of 30,000 items through its opening period.

UNIQLO - part of the Fast Retailing group - is touted as being the third largest clothing retailer in the world, according to company officials.

It launched in the U.S. with a flagship on 5th Avenue in New York in October 2011 and now has seven stores nationally. An additional 10 stores will open this fall with four in California and the remaining six on the East Coast.
