The San Mateo Harvest Festival, scheduled for Nov. 9-11, will offer handmade crafts, live music, and celebrity appearances.

The largest indoor arts and crafts show on the West Coast is returning to San Mateo in November for three days of shopping, live entertainment, celebrity appearances, prizes, artist demonstrations, delicious food and down-home family fun.

The San Mateo Harvest Festival Original Art and Craft Show will arrive at the San Mateo Event Center Nov. 9-11, offering more than 24,000 original arts and crafts.

The Harvest Festivals boast thousands of various gifts for everyone, including jewelry, woodturnings, art and photography, specialty foods, clothing, décor and more.

Crowd favorites Tom Rigney and Flambeau will be headlining the main stage with their fiery fiddling and signature Cajun/Zydeco influenced songs.

Also joining the stage entertainment are the Barbary Coast Cloggers, a high-energy American step-dance team.

This year's show will feature a special appearance on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. by celebrity broadcaster Liam Mayclem, host of KCBS radio's "Foodie Chap" and CBS 5's "Eye on the Bay".

Artisans featured at the Harvest Festivals are vetted by the Harvest Festival management team to ensure products are all handmade and made in the United States. The juried process also ensures a rich mix and diversity of merchandise.

The Peninsula Humane Society/SPCA is the selected charity of the show and will receive half of the proceeds from all shopping bags sold, as well as all the donations collected from the Parcel Check. They will also host a special mobile adoption on Saturday and Sunday.

In addition, anyone who brings a non-perishable food donation to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank will receive a $2 off admission discount.

The KidZone, a specialized area for kids to participate in hands on crafting activities, will be sponsored by Gingerbread-on-the-Go and will offer gingerbread cookie decorating.

Located next to the KidZone will be a special Child ID feature, sponsored by New York Life. Parents can bring their child to be photographed, fingerprinted and get essential information stored on a CD to have if needed in an emergency.
