Wildlife photographer Lincoln Shaw will show images and share stories of his voyage throughout the Antarctic to disrupt Japanese whaling ships.
Shaw spent three months aboard the vessel Bob Barker, which he shared with the Animal Planet crew from the show Whale Wars. They braved 50-foot swells and 60 mph winds as well as confrontations with Japanese whaling boats in the Antarctic whaling sanctuary.
Shaw will be speaking March 9 at 8 p.m. in the gymnasium of the , located at 450 Chadbourne Ave. Doors open at 7 p.m., followed by a cocktail reception at the , located at 448 Broadway Ave.
