Millbrae Earth Day Events Begin Today

The city has several events planned. Will you be a part this year?

 

We've come a long way since the days when folks concerned about our Earth simply called it Ecology.

Forty-two years later, Millbrae will join with cities around the world to celebrate Earth Day, officially happening on Sunday, April 22.

  • You can learn more about Earth Day and local programs being offered by the city by visiting displays in City Hall and the Library now through April 24. You'll find free guides and other handouts available.
  • On Wednesday, April 18, greet city staff and talk about Earth Day in front of the Library from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.
  • On Thursday, April 19, the staff will move downtown to the location of Broadway at Civic Center Lane from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • You can also watch the environmental shows on MCTV.tv/ on Channel 27.
  • Kids have the chance to watch the Earth Day movie being shown at the Millbrae Library on Friday, April 20th at 3:30 p.m.
  • The big event scheduled is the Earth Day Cleanup and Celebration on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m.- 12 Noon. Please meet at Central Park on Palm Street for a citywide litter cleanup.
