Like Little Critters? - Volunteer At the Peninsula Humane Society

[The following is an excerpt from the Peninsula Humane Society's monthly newsletter, Fetch.]

Wildlife Volunteers have a rare and unique opportunity to work directly with and handle a variety of wild animals. The volunteers dedicate their time to cleaning, feeding, and assisting staff in the rehabilitation of wild animals with the goal of eventually releasing them back to their native habitat.

Our Wildlife Care Center relies heavily on volunteers to get through most of their day to day work. In the busy season, they are responsible for the care of a few hundred animals, and without the extremely dedicated volunteers, this work would not be possible. Even a seemingly small task like laundry is important to provide the baby animals with a warm and safe place to grow until they are released.

Our volunteers’ hard work and commitment to this vital work is very much appreciated!  Volunteers are needed at both our Burlingame and Palo Alto campuses.
