Fun for Everyone at the Millbrae Library
The Millbrae Library offers a full schedule of programs for kids of all ages.
Being a parent, I’m always looking for fun and educational activities to do with my daughter. Without realizing it (until now) I was missing activities that were right under my nose. Thanks to Millbrae Patch, I saw postings for programs happening at the Millbrae Library.
This summer, the library has some great programs for young children, teens, adults and families. Be sure to check out their website or go on in and pick up a schedule (located at the front desk) and a Summer Reading Program Log which gives a great description of each event.

- Tuesday, July 5 at 3:00 pm – Teen T-shirt Deconstruction Project
- Thursday, July 7 at 4:00 pm – Teen Movie – Green Hornet
- Wednesday, July 13 at 7:00 pm – Uncle Jer’s Traveling Bee Show Recommended for ages 5 to 95 (No preschoolers)
- Thursday, July 21 at 4:00 pm – Teen Movie – Tron Legacy
- Friday, July 22 from 3:00-5:00 pm Bookmobile! Check out the new, high-tech San Mateo County Library Bookmobile
- Tuesday, July 26 from 6:00-8:00 pm – Jazz Meets Motown Music, dancing, refreshments and crafts for kids
- Wednesday, July 27 from 3:00-4:00 – Teen Chain Mail
- Thursday, August 4 at 2:00 pm – Magic Dan + annual Raffle & Awards Party Magician Magic Dan and the Summer Reading Program Awards Party

The Millbrae Library also has on-going events and storytimes that occur every week.
- Mid-Monday Family Movies – Mondays at 1:00 pm
- Drop-in Chess – Mondays at 6:00 pm
- Wednesday Morning Wii – Wednesdays from 10:00-12 noon
- Board Game Night – Thursdays at 7:00 pm
- Paws for Tales – 2nd Saturday from 10:30-11:30 am
- Saturday Drop-in Crafts – June 25, July 23, August 20 at 10:00 am
- Pajama Preschool Storytime – Tuesdays at 7:00 pm
- Bilingual Chinese/English Preschool Storytime – Thursdays at 10:30 am
- Babies and Books Storytime – Fridays at 9:30 am
- Fridays @ Four Café – Fridays at 4:00 pm
