CALL Primrose Seeks Holiday Help

CALL Primrose is now registering donors for the Fill-A-Box, Feed-A-Family program.

With Halloween and election season behind us, it’s not too early to start thinking about the holidays or how we can help others this holiday season.

CALL Primrose, a Burlingame-based nonprofit serving local families in need, has reported record numbers of clients each week.

“Those who reply on various public programs for support seem to be more and more impacted at every turn,” said Executive Director of CALL Primrose Mary Watt in a statement. “Many of the program cut backs have a far reaching impact on our clients on fixed incomes. People are running out of resources to feed themselves and their families.”

However, there is an easy way to make a big difference for these low-income residents in Northern Peninsula communities. Join the Fill-a-Box, Feed-a-Family program this holiday season to help spread holiday cheer with those in need.

“With the holidays approaching, CALL Primrose needs community support more than ever,” Watt said.

Families and individuals interested in participating are asked to pre-register with CALL Primrose by emailing contact@CALLPrimrose.org. Once you are registered, simply fill a copy paper-sized box with non-perishable grocery items and a $20 grocery gift card. The gift card ensures families can purchase appropriate items for their holiday celebrations.

CALL Primrose then distributes the boxes to local families in need.
