Great Escape

This week, take a yoga class.

With screaming kids, carpools and chores, it can be difficult to find just a minute for yourself. Consider taking a Yoga class. Yoga can be a great way to relax your body, inside and out.

There are several local places that offer classes, which vary depending on your preferred style.

(1863 El Camino Real, Burlingame) offers classes for beginners or experts. It specializes in Bikrim-style Yoga, where classes involve a series of postures and breathing exercises and take place in a warm, heated room.

(1880 S Grant St, San Mateo) features a peaceful and friendly setting, where several levels of yoga, pilates and dance classes are offered. Currently, you can take advantage of its introductory deal of three classes for $25.

The (800 Foster City Blvd, Foster City) is another great option. It offers a range of Yoga styles, including specialty classes such as back care, restorative, prenatal and postnatal. Classes are free for members and can be taken for a small cost by non-members.
