10 Best Millbrae Restaurants Opened in 2010
From seafood to dessert, we pick our new favorite restaurants.
1. Sweet Memories Confectionery (1395 El Camino Real, 650-589-7777). Located in the old Shaw's Parlor, Sweet Memories Confectionery adds a bit of charm and sweetness to the city. The family-owned shop carries all types of candies from gumdrops to fudge, as well as several flavors of rich ice cream.
2. South Sea Seafood Village (195 El Camino Real, 650-692-0688). Already a popular restaurant in the Sunset District of San Francisco, South Sea Seafood Village opened this year in Millbrae. It serves Dim Sum and Chinese dinner entrees.
3. SereniTea House (1085 El Camino Real, 650-652-9303). Millbrae has a new tea house in town, offering several whole-leaf, organic and fair-trade teas, home-made scones and delicious sweets.
4. Gourmet Village (465 Broadway Avenue, 650-697-7788). New to Millbrae since April 2010, Gourmet Village serves up tasty Chinese cuisine. The dishes are unique and flavorful, with a range of seafood options.
5. Trapper Jack's Crab Shack (219 El Camino Real, 650-689-5588). Opened in November 2010, the Crab Shack serves up a range of seafood dishes. The restaurant features ocean décor and friendly service.
6. Chicken Pho You (292 Broadway Avenue, 650-692-8865). As a new Vietnamese option, Chicken Pho You offers many dishes in addition to its pho, including beef stew noodles, Imperial rolls and BBQ pork.
7. Mayami Restaurant (1625 El Camino Real, 650-872-1331). Mayami offers authentic Filipino cuisine, including Mami noodles and Siopau buns.
8. Cute Creperie (105 Park Boulevard, 650-588-1128). As the name suggests, Cute Creperie is a charming new restaurant in Millbrae, offering sweet and savory crepes, fruit smoothies and noodle dishes.
9. Shanghai Bistro (1055 E1 Camino Real, 650-692-8858). Replacing Family China Bistro, Shanghai Bistro offers an extensive menu of Shanghai-style dishes and has already become a popular spot for Dim Sum.
10. Shanghai Club Restaurant & Lounge (1107 Howard Avenue, Burlingame, 650-342-9888). Although this is not in Millbrae, the new Shanghai restaurant opened this year in Burlingame deserves a mention. The restaurant is modern and upscale and the food is delicious.

My favorite restaurant is the food truck which parts along El Camino Real in Millbrae by Office Depot.
